The ultimate guide to the coolest things to do and see when traveling in Belgium
I like to say that Belgium is weird. It’s this small little country but with a whole lot of culture. The capital, Brussels, is not just the capital of Belgium, but also the de facto center of European politics. Because of that, you get this diverse and international mix of cultures, with the already unique and unusual Belgian culture. It’s a great little European country for urban exploration. When to Visit
Summer months such as July and August are peak tourist season in Belgium, but it’s also when you’ll find a number of great art, culture and music festivals taking place in the country. Traveling for a festival can be a great way to experience a country, and in such a friendly and welcoming destination as Belgium, the festivals are always quite social—a great opportunity for solo travelers.
